Experience Lars Lilholt with his songs, enriched by stories and anecdotes from his long—and as he likes to say, increasingly long—life and career.
The setlist features his classics, alongside room for some lesser-known gems. Songs from his 2024 album “Kosmiske Kindkys” will also be part of the repertoire.
He won’t be entirely solo, as he will be joined by his longtime pianist, Kristian Fogh.
Unpretentiously, Lars Lilholt emphasizes that over the years he has written more than 300 songs to discover what they want to tell him. Writing music is his way of responding to life. He composed his first song at the age of 15 in 1968 and has been creating songs ever since. He has performed thousands of concerts since his professional debut in 1973—or actually even earlier. He recalls his first performance in 1969 during a student evening at Aalborghus Statsgymnasium, where he presented a tongue-in-cheek homemade song titled “Spis Brune Ris og Lav Revolution” (Eat Brown Rice and Start a Revolution), which he has promised never to play again.
Lars Lilholt has been touring for over 50 years. The only place in Denmark he has yet to perform is **Anholt**. He has sold over two million records, released 40 albums, and won six Danish Music Awards with “Lars Lilholt Band”, as a solo artist, and with “Dalton”.
He has also received numerous honorary awards, including the Musicians’ Union Honorary Award, the Music Critics’ Honorary Award, the “Steppeulven”, the Skagen Festival Honorary Award, and even the Silkeborg Craftsmen’s Association Honorary Award—which famously made his electrician-trained wife gasp with laughter.
In addition, he has been named Local Favorite of the Year, P4 Artist of the Year, and even has a rose named in his honor!
Get ready to experience Lars Lilholt and Kristian Fogh in full swing in 2026.
